Cracking the border with a criminal record: why honesty is still the best policy

It is illegal to cross the United States border with a criminal record unless you have obtained a denial of entry into the United States. You may have managed to sneak out of it by not revealing your recording information, but at some point your luck will run out. Security measures have changed dramatically since September 11, 2001. Information sharing technologies between US and Canadian security agencies have been developed and are constantly being refined. Since 2010, US Customs and Border Protection has full access to Canadian criminal databases at a glance.

Once your criminal record is discovered at the border, especially if you have answered questions concerning your record dishonestly, you will most likely be detained and most categorically denied entry. It is a humiliating experience that can involve fingerprints, handcuffs, taking mug photos and being treated very badly. Your record will be downloaded to an FBI file and you may need to undergo further questioning.

If you are caught a second time, you will be treated very harshly because you have no excuse for knowingly violating US law. It will be much easier to catch you after you were first stopped. This is because the US now has its own criminal record for you. Your vehicle and property may be seized and not returned to you. When attempting to cross the border illegally, the US authorities have the right to confiscate your belongings and auction them. Proceeds from these sales go to the US government.

If you are traveling by bus, the whole bus may be turned over due to your behavior. If you are traveling by plane, your ticket will be stamped "invalid" and you will not be able to collect cancellation insurance or receive your ticket refund. You can be handcuffed and held for a much longer period. If you still try to enter the United States after being denied, you are actually reducing your chances of refusing entry, which gives you legal permission to enter the States with your criminal record.

If you are reading this, you probably have a record and are interested in being able to legally and safely cross the border for business and / or personal reasons. The decision is right to apply to the US Department of Homeland Security for written permission. This document is called denial of entry to the United States.

While it is certainly possible to apply for a waiver on your own by filling out the appropriate forms and preparing the necessary documents, it is important to understand that preparing the application package requires a huge amount of paperwork and is an extremely complex legal process. It is easy to make a mistake or miss an important piece of information. You will be required to submit your fingerprints in the appropriate timetable and will be required to provide biographical information, proof of citizenship, police records, character records, rehabilitation documents, occupation declarations and other supporting information.

The approval of your application is subjective and the staff who consider it has a great deal of judgment. This means that the better your application packet, the greater your chances of giving your refusal. Knowing what information should be included and what information should be excluded is knowledge based on experience. To refuse, it costs $ 585 in the US. There is no refund if your application is denied, so it is important that it is properly prepared and submitted the first time. This is a useful investment to get help from a professional who can prepare an effective and appropriate application based on crime / types, current US standards, and best practices.

Easy ideas that get cheaper air rates

Finding cheaper plane tickets is a bit like searching for the Holy Grail – quite impossible, because the reality is that the cheapest plane ticket doesn't actually exist, per se. What do I mean by that? There is so much permutation for getting cheap domestic flights or cheap international flights – like routes, different airlines, class of travel, seating, dates and times of travel, etc., especially for international flights – that no travel agency or an airline cannot actually guarantee that you receive the absolute cheapest airfare.

This does not mean that you do not have to look for the cheapest airline tickets, but the cheapest airline tickets that meet your own travel requirements in terms of time, convenience, comfort, etc. In other words, once you're pretty happy with a plane ticket, it's best to book it and pay it right away, rather than wasting your time looking for something that can save you just a few bucks – given that if you can't find it cheaper, your initial deal may already have been clicked up by someone else.

Ideally, if you regularly use a reliable travel agent to book your travels and vacations, you can give them details of what you want and trust them to show you the lowest airfare available right now on the flight criteria you specify. If you do not take advantage of access to a reliable and reliable travel agent, here are my easy ideas for getting cheaper air fares:

Buy your ticket as soon as possible – fares often start to increase 21 days before your flight. The earlier you book your flight, the better chance you have of finding a cheaper airfare. Try booking on Tuesday or Wednesday to take advantage of increased price competition.

Buy a round trip ticket and travel with one airline – Return flights are usually cheaper than one way tickets, and it is often cheaper to book all your legs on a single airline trip rather than a combination of several airlines,

Saturday Night Stay – Routes that include a Saturday night stay are sometimes much cheaper than mid-week trips. If you plan to return on Saturday, consider postponing your return on Sunday and see if the fare drops.

Choose an inconvenient flight time – Try different times of the night or day on different flight dates. Mid-morning and late-afternoon flights are often crowded, so try to select flights that depart very early in the morning or very late at night to see if cheaper fares are available. Flight on Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday can sometimes be cheaper because these are less popular days for flights on some routes.

Avoid traveling in or during holiday periods – It's sad, but true that it is difficult to find cheaper airline tickets during the holiday periods. Try to schedule flights on less popular days, E.g. Avoid traveling over Christmas or Thanksgiving by thinking of traveling on or before those days.

Use an alternative airport – Try using alternative airports near your desired destination to see if there are cheaper rates for another airport. E.g In the United Kingdom, fares to London Stansted are often cheaper than flights to London Heathrow or Gatwick.

Take advantage of promotions and sales – Sign in as soon as promotions are announced online because the cheapest flights will sell fast. Sign up for airline newsletters and travel alerts, or join organizations that offer discounted airline discounts.

Best Tip In Australia, some of the best last-minute flight deals can be found on cheap domestic flights, where Jetstar has a weekly "Fare Frenzy" from 4am to 8pm. Every Friday and Virgin Blue has a daily " Happy Hour ”at noon. While not an exhaustive list of tips to get you the cheapest plane ticket, using the above methods will certainly save you a lot of money the next time you fly.

Remember that different airlines follow different fare rules, so these directions may not apply to each route, but try one or more of the above tips and see if you can find a better fare. Don't get yourself a coroner by spending hours looking for the cheapest airline bar – he's gone. It is far better to have an idea of your budget and travel requirements and then book the cheaper plane ticket that is closest to meeting them.

Long-distance adventures – Vaccination and abroad

Finally came the time for the long-awaited trip abroad. Plans started a long time ago: airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rental, sightseeing plans. Bags are removed from the ceiling to be packed, and the excitement mounts every day. Everything is a hike.

But wait – what about vaccines?

Is this another preparation that should be added to the "To Do It" list? Traveling outside the country can feel like an undertaking to another planet. Photos of exotic destinations, combined with new, curious foods, dance from the pages of tourist brochures. Predicting the unexpected can be challenging for even the most seasoned traveler. Traveling with children, however, adds an extra dimension to anxiety – the thought of your child getting sick in a foreign country is extremely frightening. Your doctor recommends different vaccines. Are they necessary? How do you evaluate the risks?

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that is spread through contact with blood. In the US, hepatitis B occurs mainly in adults and is spread through intimate contact or by sharing needles used with illicit drugs. Hepatitis B is more common in the general population in East and Southeast Asia and in Sub-Saharan Africa. However, the risk of long-term complications is much less than we usually believe. More than 95 percent of those who are infected with hepatitis B recover completely and the infection will lead to immunity to that person's life. Unless you plan to spend extended periods in close contact with infected persons, the risks of contracting hepatitis B while traveling are extremely low.

polio is an infectious disease caused by a virus that attacks the nervous system. The disease is mainly observed in children under five; initial symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, stiff neck and limb pain. Paralysis causes about 1 to 2 percent of children who become infected with a viral infection, although most recover completely from this paralysis. However, some continue to have permanent disabilities throughout their lives.

Polio is almost eradicated. Once widespread in the underdeveloped world, as of February 2006, only four countries still report isolated outbreaks: Nigeria, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. In addition, there have been no cases of wild polio in the Western Hemisphere since 1991.

Vaccination against polio continues in the United States, with 5 doses given before entering school (1) on the grounds that until polio is fully eradicated, the risk of reintroduction of polio in that country is "just a plane by car". However, the survey revealed only six cases of imported polio documented between 1980 and 1998, the last in New York in 1993. (2) The risk of polio infection at home is negligible; the risks abroad are almost the same.

tetanus is a acute, spastic paralytic disease caused by a toxin released by the bacterium Clostridium tetani. The bacterium is found in soils and animal faeces worldwide. The neonatal tetanus is the most lethal and the type most commonly depicted in the case of textbook tetanus. However, most of these cases occur after the birth and use of non-sterile umbilical cord cutting equipment. While other forms of tetanus are a serious illness, recovery is the norm. In other words, tetanus is not a uniformly fatal disease. If you are traveling to remote areas, such as the rucksack in areas without medical attention and without clean water, you may want to consider your tetanus condition carefully.

However, a word of caution: A tetanus stroke does not guarantee protection. In a study published by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) in 1997, 13% of people who contracted tetanus had four or more tetanus. (3) Your best protection against tetanus is to thoroughly clean the wound with copious amounts of heat, ie. soapy water and to encourage the injury to bleed profusely for a few minutes. Apply hydrogen peroxide to cleanse your wound, followed by a topical antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin.

When traveling abroad, you may experience some illnesses that are not commonly seen in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control lists the following infections as possible concerns for anyone traveling to any destination around the world:

Typhoid Fever, an acute, febrile illness caused by the bacterium Salmonella typhi, is characterized by high fever, headache and enlargement of the spleen. The greatest risk is for travelers to the Indian subcontinent and developing countries in Asia, Africa and Central and South America, who will have prolonged exposure to potentially non-refrigerated foods.

Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease that can vary in severity from flu-like syndrome to severe hepatitis and hemorrhagic fever. The disease is found only in sub-Saharan Africa and in rural, tropical South America.

Japanese encephalitis, another mosquito-borne viral infection, is found throughout Asia, especially in the rural or rural areas of the temperate regions of China, Japan, Korea, and Eastern Russia. The risk to short-term commuters is very small.

For all these potential infections, it is important to get a natural repellent mosquito that does not contain DEET, a toxic additive that is found in most insects. , a Royal Neem case. It is chemical free and contains many natural ingredients.

Hepatitis A is a viral disease that has an initial fever and diarrhea, followed within a few days by jaundice (yellowing). The disease varies in clinical severity from no symptoms to mild illness lasting one to two weeks. Although endemic worldwide, hepatitis A can be prevented by carefully observing hygiene and following several dietary recommendations:

1. Eat only cooked foods hot to the touch. Avoid eating food from street vendors.

2. Avoid eating raw fruits and vegetables unless you peel them yourself.

3. Drink only safe drinks: bottled water, hot tea, coffee, beer, wine and boiled water; Avoid drinking ice drinks.

5. Avoid eating raw or uncooked meat and seafood (risk of hepatitis).

6. Avoid all tap water and make sure you have shower water in your mouth. When dining at restaurants, ask if the lettuces have been washed in boiled, distilled or bottled water.

7. Avoid milk and dairy products with unknown refrigeration standards.

Although the CDC recommends that all travelers receive vaccines when traveling abroad, it is important to realize that, with one exception, no vaccine is required before traveling to any point in the world: they are only "recommended". You will not be required to be vaccinated to enter a country, nor will you be required to receive vaccines to return home. The only exception is the Yellow Fever vaccine, which may be necessary if you are traveling to or from South America or Africa infected with yellow fever. Recommendations may vary from country to country; if such a destination is part of your travel plans, you should look for yellow fever requirements for that country. (4)

I've been a globe for most of my life. Over the last 25 years, I have been lucky to travel to more than 40 countries. I have never been asked about vaccines, nor have I ever felt the need for any vaccines, even when traveling to remote, exotic destinations.

The ultimate advice? Be sure to pack your passport, sunglasses and your favorite book. Have fun and don't risk getting sick before you go through multiple vaccinations.

5 secrets to getting cheap flights

In today's era, the advantage of the internet has become radical. Numerous activities and transactions can be done online, and travelers are one of the lucky ones. Online, they can make your booking much easier than before and also make it easier to secure a ticket. There are just a few important details to keep in mind when looking for cheap flights online.

If you are a frequent traveler who needs to take advantage of affordable airline tickets to save money while traveling back and forth to your destinations, booking online can be a stress-free way to go with a traditional booking. To help you experience a more convenient and fast online booking, here are 5 secrets to give you tips:

1. Checking Morning Offers – Over the course of the night, several airlines publish their seats at a limited number of discounted rates. That's why it's a practical way to book a place early in the morning. If you see a vacancy while checking on the website, be sure to pick up and book immediately.

2. Buying Two Tickets (Back and Back) to Different Airlines – This may not be available all the time, but in some cases, buying a flight ticket for one airline is more expensive. For example, buy a ticket to your destination with one airline, then buy another ticket for your flight home with another airline. This way you can save a few bucks without having to rush into an airline.

3. Book 6 Weeks Earlier – Today there are many airlines that offer discounts to travelers to different destinations around the world. There are many flight deals that go down to low average fares within 6 weeks of scheduled departure. Since airlines wanted to fill their empty seats, you could choose a last-minute booking to get great deals; therefore, if you want a more practical option to book early, it is still advisable.

4. Have a flexible flight date – airlines have special requisites for passengers based on their length of stay at their destination. The cost of the flight will depend on how many days or weeks a particular passenger will be staying at their destination. For the most part, cheap flights are obtained when the passenger is on the weekend, because on Saturday nights, bukene airlines offer huge discounted fares.

5. Explore social networks (Twitter and Facebook) – Many airlines and travel agencies are widely promoting their products through social networks. Because the Internet is the leading channel for many travelers looking for cheap airfare, the association of Twitter and / or Facebook for booking flights can probably give a burgeoning discount. Just be sure to grab the chance faster, because deals can only be sold out within a few hours of posting.

Finding Cheap International Flights – Emirates

Finding cheap international flight tickets for airlines like Emirates has never been easy before the advent of the World Wide Web. With the ever-increasing need for international flights and the emergence of so many companies, competition has intensified and made things easier and cheaper for customers. If you are planning an international trip in the near future, here are some tips for finding cheap international flight tickets.

The first evergreen tip is to book ahead. If you plan your trip well in advance, you may be able to find cheap international flight tickets. If you are wondering how much you need to book a plane ticket in advance, then at an international airline, you should book it at least 6-12 months before the scheduled date. Whether you choose an airline – Emirates, Air France, United Airlines or British Airways, you can save money by planning ahead.

Another tip for finding cheap international flight tickets is to avoid the peak season for any destination. If your vacation was planned during the peak season, be prepared to pay a huge amount not only for the airline tickets but also for the accommodation. Airlines always lift their location during the peak travel season of a particular destination. All it takes is a Google search to find the peak season of a particular destination.

A travel agent is also a good option to take advantage of cheap international flight tickets for any international flight. A travel agent has connections with almost all the leading airlines and can certainly help you make the best deal for your travel plans. Some international flights also have some "rewards programs" that further allow you to reduce your airfare costs. All you have to do is search for and sign up for specific airline programs.

At the end of the day, this is the amount of effort and research you put into finding the lowest value that counts for you and helping you reach your goal!

Use the tips above to save money on airline tickets!

The pros and cons of online shopping

More and more people are going online to shop for a wide variety of things, from plane tickets to shoes to homes. It can be incredibly convenient to stay home and shop for virtually everything you need. Here are some of the pros and cons:

Shopping at a brick and mortar store has less flexibility with the need for travel, possible parking issues, and fixed hours. But those who prefer to shop online have the convenience of being able to browse and buy things at any time. The ability to avoid traveling will certainly appeal to those who do not have their own transportation, to those who are home or just when the weather is not pleasant.

Price comparison

When shopping at a traditional store, there is less competition and you just have to accept the price at the store where you have the items you want. However, it is really easy to compare prices when you are online. There are many price comparison sites that allow you to check the price of a particular item in a long list of different suppliers. Plus, online stores can provide more incentives for returning as a repeat customer, such as special deals or discounts on signing up for the monthly newsletter.

Wider choice

Online stores are not limited by the amount of space available to display their inventory. They have the opportunity to display the most impressive choices that could never fit in the shelf space of a brick and mortar store. Plus, when you're online, it's really easy to move on to the next store if your preferred item isn't available.

Read customer reviews

Most online stores provide easy access to customer reviews for almost any product. This helps to create a more informed purchasing decision. The reviews give a more detailed view of a product than the limited information provided by the manufacturer.

I can't try things

A specific problem with buying clothes online is the inability to try things out, see how they are made, or feel the material. Unless you are shopping for a familiar garment, there is every chance that things will go wrong and you may get a poorly suited item. Even the thought that most stores accept returns is still an inconvenience of having to keep returning goods until they reach the right size and appearance.

In addition, it is rarely possible to speak to a seller immediately if assistance is required. Although there is an option to send a message, it may not respond for 24 hours or more.

Cross country in a semi truck

Desperate times require desperate actions. It was a desperate act. I desperately needed a job or story to sell.

Basically, I needed money and something to do. I was still looking for a second career and I was missing options.

It was Sunday morning and I had a bus pass, but nowhere to go. I tried to "think outside the box" in the hope that I could find a second career with the skills that some HR specialist always tells me are "transferable", but I never know of any company that hires someone with experience over 20 years in various industries. I was disappointed, tired, annoyed and just brazen.

I had to do something even if it was wrong. I've always done all the right things in my life, but even the stupid person knows that you can't keep doing the same things and expect different results.

Poor odds

Looking for a job didn't give me a job. The odds were against me. There are too many unemployed people with good skills, education and lots of experience and yet too few jobs to spread around. I thought that if I could ride in the second seat of a semi-truck, it would allow me to really learn what it was about before investing time and money in getting my driver's license (CDL) and looking for a company ready to pay over 40 year old woman to drive for them. I will still have to pass a Department of Transportation medical test (DOT). I was worried that age could be a barrier. With so much to worry about, it was hard for me to prioritize what to worry about the most.

Stop the truck

So, with that in mind, I went to a local truck stop to interview some of the drivers. I thought about driving a semi-trailer as a potential second career since my dad was a truck driver over the road when I was little.

Once, during a summer break from high school, my dad let me ride with him while driving locally. Then, a few years later, he taught me some simple maneuvers, like how to drive a tractor around a parking lot in a warehouse and attach a trailer so people in the warehouse could unload it. So I spent one Saturday afternoon.

So, this Sunday afternoon, I drove the bus to the nearest truck stop in Denver. I leaned back and watched. I watched truck drivers carry their luggage and shower kit from a semi-trailer through the back door reserved for "professional drivers" on the way to the 24-hour restaurant, coin-operated laundry, or to buy a $ 12 ticket for a solo shower.

I watched the drivers load their trucks. I watched them move through the parking lot and put their big platform back in the slot. A truck driver is not judging by how fast he can drive on the interstate, but by how smoothly he can return his trailer between two trucks. I watched other drivers look at other drivers.

Most of all, I was surprised by how many female drivers I saw getting off the truck. I was encouraged to see them climb out of the driver's seat. I spoke to several of the women as they headed for the back door. I asked them questions about their work and the lifestyle that comes with it.

Most of the women I talked to were OTRs, which meant they were driving long distances, cross-country, and so they weren't home often. They were all single; many of them traveled with a dog for companionship. One of the women was traveling with a dog and two cats in her truck. She was an independent driver with her own truck. She rode solo, she said, preferring her animals to humans as satellites. She has been driving for years and will not return to office work for the love of money. That's almost everything everyone said.

As I stood and watched truck drivers load their tractors, inspect their trailers, and looking for a place to park at night, I tried to imagine what it might be like to be a professional semi-truck driver. I hoped that my limited understanding of the basics of the semitrailer and the automotive industry could give me an idea of a new industry where you could have a job for a 40-year-old, white woman without children and without having to go back to home, to visit your family or friends. That was my hope anyway.

Road to employment

I thought I might have found a new path to employment. I was expecting a new job that would allow me to work regardless of the convenience of a semi-trailer with a combination trailer complete with stereo surround sound, a portable 24-inch flat-screen satellite TV, a mid-size refrigerator, a microwave and, of course, a full bedroom. size. What more could a girl want? There was even a Global Positioning System (GPS) to help me map my way around the United States. At the touch of a 7-inch touchscreen, I could find the nearest rest stop, truck stop, or final destination.

The job was starting to sound perfect – especially given my current situation.

It was a job that would allow me to see the countryside without having to pay a plane ticket or a greyhound bus ticket. It was a job where I could eat, sleep and work in a vehicle. I could travel around the country with a paycheck in one hand and a steering wheel in the other. I wouldn't even have to go home to visit friends and family, because after being unemployed for so long, I had nothing better to do. I can work day and night and pack up my savings account.

I closed my eyes as I tried to imagine myself sitting in the driver's seat enjoying nature while listening to my favorite music while traveling the countryside from country to country. I had noticed some of the newer models that a man called a "condo cabin". He said they are called cabins because they are large and have almost as much amenities as a recreational vehicle. Some of the men told me that some of these interiors were custom-made and, of course, really good. However, I could not see the inside of one. However, I spoke to a woman driver, who called her standard-size bedroom a "sleeping set," because she liked it so much. She admitted to "dressing" him in pink with goose down pillows, hair jackets and floor rugs and curtains.

I liked the thought of driving a semi-trailer with the interior decorated in pink. I began to get into decorating while trying to think of the real driving job. It was starting to work for me. I could combine my desire for coziness at home with the need to earn a paycheck and not even have to give up my laptop.

Global positioning system

Also, I have not anticipated problems with learning how to use the Global Positioning System (GPS). The onboard e-mail system should also not be a big problem. Half of my problems were resolved. I just had to learn how to drive a semi-trailer and, of course, get a license for it. The thought of carrying around 80,000 pounds of cargo in an aluminum trailer during rain, hail, rainfall and snow had rarely occurred to me. I could drive by day and write at night. I thought that might be the perfect solution. I could solve two problems with one job. I could earn a day's salary and use my computer at night to free up my writing career. The secret lies in the decoration.

Black tires

Aside from decorating my combined vehicle with a trailer in calm, soothing colors, I could have my name painted on the side and look really cool. Most of the tractors can be identified by the driver's door, which identifies the owner or operator of each vehicle. Many drivers will have their name printed on the driver's door. Other drivers draw a favorite expression or script, which usually completes the custom paint job. All vehicles must have personalized numbers; however, they are supplied by DOT. The Department of Transportation (DOT) seems to be pushing for this. These numbers are always printed in black. I guess it's a regulation or something. But, that's good, black goes with everything. It never collides. In addition, it will make big, black tires more noticeable and provide a more "grounded" appearance to the car.

Nice hood

The newly designed, aerodynamic hood and spoon roof are also cool. Sellers will tell you that they help the air flow over the tractor and trailer and therefore reduce wind drag and improve fuel mileage. I think they just did it because it looks cool and gives more head space inside the cabin.

Most openings allow the truck to actually stand in the cab. More headroom also provides a pleasantly open feel for any space; which I liked and the feeling of being outdoors. The extra space also makes it easier for the truck to open and close the refrigerator door while watching satellite TV on its new, 24-inch flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player.

Most drivers say they particularly like the remote control, which allows them to switch TV stations while sitting in the bedroom. This allows them to remain seated and therefore no need to stand or move to change the channel or insert a new disc.

The refrigerator is usually located next to the bedroom, which is also comfortable. This allows the driver to open the fridge to grab a drink or a light snack without getting up. Only one would consider designing a truck cab that way. Men live in their trucks the same way they live at home; food in one hand and the TV remote in the other.

Automated Power Supply Unit (APU)

Most truck drivers are also considered a popular automated power feature (APU). He is responsible for making all these appliances and amenities work so easily in a semi-truck. The APU provides power to the refrigerator, microwave, lights and other electrical things that make truck life more enjoyable. All the trucks wanted an APU. APU makes luxury happen.

The dashboard inside the semi-trailer is also cool. He has a gauge for everything. The inside of these trucks looks like the inside of an airplane. They have enough dimensions to monitor almost anything on a truck or trailer. They have dimensions to monitor fuel levels, oil levels, manifold pressure and even the gross weight of the trailer.

Weight Guages

State patrol inspectors are also fond of gauges. They particularly like the weight gauges that they can observe as they sit inside the "shed" at the entry entrance. The state patrol can now track the weight of the front and rear axles of a semi-truck on the move as it passes through the entrance to the entrance. Even the port of entry is automated these days. The highway department placed scales below the stretches of the interstate, allowing the state patrol to check the weight of the load while the semi-trailer passed the weight. Truck drivers no longer have to stop every time they arrive when entering a new condition; Instead, they can simply move around while the state patrol tracks the weight on a computer screen. If the weight of the cargo is too large, according to federal regulations, the state patrol still gets on its car, turns on the siren and chases the truck driver to give him a ticket. Some things have not changed. The trucks monitor the state patrol and the state patrol watches the truckers.

Commercial Driving License (CDL)

While I was driving in a semi-trailer, I learned a lot about the automotive industry. I learned so much that I decided to get a CDL license so that I could carry loads across the country. It's hard work, but the main benefit is not having a boss in the cabin. Having a boss inside the cockpit is like having a back seat driver who wants to tell you how to drive. This is an advantage that encourages many truck drivers to become truck drivers. They can control the truck, their routes and, if delivered on time, get paid to drive. They can also choose which radio station they prefer to listen to while traveling in the countryside. It is important when choosing a truck to drive that you choose someone with a similar taste in music. This is very important.

10K miles passed

I have been riding on one truck for over two months and according to his diary we have logged over 10,000 miles in his semi-truck. I think I crossed the United States five times in those two months. I enjoyed.

I liked it so much that I decided to apply for a job as a truck driver. However, after talking with several pickers and driving schools, I learned that there was no great demand for women; but they were ready to give me a chance. I applied for a car carrier known to hire inexperienced drivers. I borrowed money from a friend, took a bus on a greyhound to another country, and after an unsuccessful attempt, received my license to drive a semi-truck. Unfortunately, the school was not what I expected. After two days I quit, took a bus home and started looking for a job in my career field. I also went back to writing and decided to do what I had planned all along – to write a short story about my attempt to cross country in a semi truck for two.

Your First Flight – Ready Payer

Your first flight can be quite frustrating, even if it is a simple two-hour domestic flight from Delhi to Mumbai. Just because of the ridiculous worry that an airplane is sure to collapse into more pressing concerns about completing all the necessary procedures at an airport, the first plane trip can be quite rewarding for the uninitiated. What makes it even harder is that you can't bring a friend or relative to guide you around the airport. For security reasons, airports do not allow accompanying visitors to exit outside the airport gate. Here's a handy checklist to help you get through the countless airport counters without feeling lost.

  • Make sure you are at the right airport. Most cities have separate airports for domestic and international flights. Be sure to clearly inform your taxi driver that you are traveling on an internal flight.
  • Find the terminal for your airline. For smoother administration, different airlines are allocated to different airport terminals. Most taxi drivers will take you to the right end if you tell them the name of the airline in advance.
  • Take your luggage trolley. They are usually arranged just outside the airport entrance.
  • Hold your ticket in your hand. You need to show it at the airport entrance to get in. If you have an electronic ticket, you'll also need to show proof of identity on the photo. This can be your voter ID card, PAN card, driver's license, passport or even a credit card with your photo.
  • Go to the baggage check section to get your luggage X-rayed. At this point, you should only place heavy luggage, which will be checked in the cargo of the aircraft. After the baggage has been checked, it is sealed by the airport authorities to prevent tampering. Put the sealed luggage in your cart.
  • Navigate to your airline counter to get your boarding pass. Wait in line until it's your turn. Check in your sealed luggage. Luggage may be weighed to ensure that it does not exceed 20 kg. Airlines may also ask you to see your photo ID. If you arrived early enough, you will be offered a choice of seats and window seats. After you declare your choice, you will be issued a boarding pass. There will also be plenty of luggage tags on the counter. Select labels for your hand luggage, such as your bag and overnight bag, and attach it to your luggage after completing your name and contact information. Leave the cart near the counter, but make sure no one is there.
  • Go to the security check area. Place your hand luggage, including cell phones and jackets, on the conveyor belt of the X-ray machine.
  • Now go into the click zone. This area is right next to the baggage check machine and screened with curtains. There are separate areas for men and women. Once you are on duty, the guard will stamp your boarding card.
  • Collect your hand luggage from the back of the X-ray machine. Make sure the person running the machine has stamped your luggage tag.
  • Wait in the sitting area until you hear the upload message. The announcement will indicate the boarding gate number for your flight.
  • Join the line of the port of embarkation. An airline employee will check your ticket before allowing you to cross the gate.
  • Take the bus of the airline that carries passengers from the boarding gate to the plane.
  • When you arrive, show your ticket to the flight attendant before boarding the flight.
  • Go to the seat indicated on your board. Put your cabin baggage in the upper cabin. Now sit back and enjoy the flight!
